CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S MENTAL HEALTH

Training for working parents and carers

For working parents and carers, balancing parenting and work responsibilities is hard enough. Having concerns over your child’s mental health and wellbeing makes this even more difficult.

CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S MENTAL HEaLTH FOR WORKING PARENTS AND CARERS

One in five children in England now have a probable mental health condition.

Half of working parents who are concerned about their children’s mental health say this impacts on their work performance (Deloitte Mental Health Report 2024).

The vast majority of the Oakwood team are working parents. We understand that parents and carers need the right knowledge and practical tools to build their confidence and understanding of children and young people’s mental health, as well as ways to boost personal resilience and look after their own wellbeing whilst supporting a child.

By equipping working parents with the necessary knowledge and tools to nurture their own mental and emotional well-being, as well as that of their families, you contribute to fostering a mentally healthy workplace.

Flexible delivery and content

Working parents concerns about their children’s mental health is costing UK employers £8bn annually due to taking time off work to care for their children, the impact on their performance or leaving their roles.
